# Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
GeekCoding101.com is a personal technical blog run by GeekCoding101. There are no user accounts, no sign-up forms, no newsletter, no comments and no ads on this site, so I never ask you for your name, email address or any other personal details. This page lists everything that does touch visitor data.
Google Analytics 4
Every page loads Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js from www.googletagmanager.com, measurement ID G-4J4XJMBLWL). It sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) and sends Google information like the page you viewed, the referring page, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and your browser and device type. I use the reports only to see which posts people read. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy and explains how it uses data from partner sites here.
You can opt out by blocking cookies or scripts for googletagmanager.com / google-analytics.com in your browser, or by installing Google’s opt-out add-on.
Hosting (Vercel)
The site is a static site hosted on Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel receives your IP address, user agent and the URL requested so it can deliver the page and protect the service, and keeps request logs for a limited time. See the Vercel privacy policy.
Third-party files
Pages load the KaTeX math stylesheet from jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net), so your browser contacts that CDN. Links to GitHub, LinkedIn, X (Twitter) and other external sites are ordinary links; nothing is sent to those sites unless you click them.
Stored in your browser
The theme you pick with the theme selector is saved in your browser’s localStorage so it stays the same on your next visit. It never leaves your device. Site search runs locally in your browser (Pagefind) and does not send your queries anywhere.
Your choices and contact
You can clear cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings. If you have a question about this policy, see the Contact page.
Changes
If the site starts using a new service that handles visitor data, this page will be updated and the date above changed.
